Release Notes
Below are the notable changes to the project's Coordination Issues tool.
Recent Changes
New Procore Default Fields for Coordination Issues (04/22/2021)
Procore has added 3 new fields to the Coordination Issues tool (Priority, Type, and Trade) that can be used for entering additional information The 'Priority' and 'Type' fields have a fixed set of values, while the 'Trade' field includes any trades currently listed in your organization's Company Settings. See Add a Custom Trade.
The new fields are automatically enabled for the Procore Default fieldset, meaning they will appear on any projects that are not currently using a custom fieldset. If you want to adjust the fields, you can create a new configurable fieldset to apply to projects. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets.
Note: The new fields are not automatically enabled for fieldsets that were previously created. See Edit Configurable Fieldsets if you want to add the new fields to existing fieldsets.
View Coordination Issues in the Web Viewer of the Models Tool (04/19/2021)
The Models tool viewer in the Procore web application has been updated to allow you to view coordination issues associated with a model. This provides an easier and more efficient way for all users to view coordination issues. See View Coordination Issues.
Ability to Attach PDFs to New Coordination Issues from Web (03/12/2021)
When creating a new coordination issue in the Procore web application, you can now add PDF files to the Attachments field. See Create a Coordination Issue. This is useful if you want to include visual references for the coordination issue. After adding images or PDFs as attachments, they can be previewed in the viewer for the coordination issue.
Create Configurable Fieldsets for the Coordination Issues Tool (01/19/2021)
Company Admins can now create new configurable fieldsets for the Coordination Issues tool in order to designate which fields are required, optional, or hidden within projects. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets.
With the ability to customize fields, you can ensure important information related to coordination issues is entered, and later create custom reports off this customized data. See Which fields in the Coordination Issues tool can be configured as required, optional, or hidden?
Create New Coordination Issues from Drawing Markups (11/10/2020)
As an expansion to the previous release that allowed existing coordination issues to be linked to all drawing markup types, you can now create new coordination issues on drawing markups. See Create or Link Coordination Issues on a Drawing. The coordination issue creation experience has been moved to a right side panel, preserving a complete view of the underlying drawing. After creating a new coordination issue on a drawing markup, publish the markup to ensure collaborators can view the associated coordination issue on the drawing. The coordination issue will include a snapshot of the marked-up drawing area, and a hyperlink to the drawing will automatically be added to the coordination issue for easy reference.
Link Existing Coordination Issues on Drawings Using Other Markup Types (09/14/2020)
You can now link existing coordination issues from the Coordination Issues tool to other markup types on a drawing in the Drawings tool, as opposed to only being able to add pins on a drawing to link to coordination issues. See Create or Link Coordination Issues on a Drawing.
Being able to choose from more commonly used markup types (such as clouds, arrows and boxes) for linking existing coordination issues helps ensure the nature of an issue is clear and leads to a more seamless design review process in Procore. See Link Items on a Drawing.
View Coordination Issues on Model Web Viewer (07/13/2020)
Procore has released an integration between the Coordination Issues tool and the Models tool that allows users to view any Coordination Issue created in the mobile viewer or the Navisworks® plugin directly in the Procore web viewer. From the Coordination Issues tool on the web, users will also be able to navigate to the location of the issue from viewing the model in the Models tool. See View a Coordination Issue.
Activity Feed on List View Side Panel (06/05/2020)
As an improvement to the list view side panel introduced in April, the list view now includes the Activity Feed so users can quickly review all issue history, @comment collaborators, and more without opening a new browser tab. See View a Coordination Issue.
List View Improvements for Coordination Issues (04/02/2020)
Users reviewing coordination issues in the Coordination Issues tool on the Procore web application can now click anywhere in an issue's row to open a side panel that displays additional details of the issue without navigating away from the Coordination Issues dashboard. See View a Coordination Issue.
New Procore Plugin Filter Options (03/13/2020)
The Procore plugin now allows users to filter issues marked as "Closed" and "Moved to Observations." This release also includes the restructuring of the viewpoints folders to include folders by status when users save an NWD through the Procore plugin.
Move Coordination Issues to Observations (01/17/2020)
Procore has added a new feature that allows issues to be moved to observations in the Observations tool. When moving a coordination issue to an observation, users will be able to create a new observation that automatically populates information from the coordination issue. See Move a Coordination Issue to an Observation.
